Mission Statement
Project Hawai’i, Inc. provides services to over 1,600 individual homeless children annually across the islands of O’ahu, Maui, and the Big Island of Hawai’i. The nonprofit strives to change the lives of children by providing a sense of stability through interactive programs, including educational summer camps, holiday events, school support, and educational training. Additionally, the nonprofit provides monthly outreach support to ensure that children are supplied with healthy meals, personal hygiene care, and emergency services.
What We Provide
Outreach
We locate, support, and provide necessities and sanitation products to our families. This can often be quite challenging, as many of our keiki live in cars, tents, or other makeshift shelters.
Education Skills
We believe that children must learn how to learn in order to break the cycle. Success comes from problem solving and succeeding through educational programs. Our high school graduation rate is over double the state average.
